Frequently Asked Questions
If you do not see the answer to your question below, please don't hesitate to contact me directly to learn more.
I work with all adult-aged clients (ages 18+).
I currently only offer telehealth appointments via a HIPAA-compliant online meeting platform.
I am a self-pay and out-of-network provider, and payment is due at the end of each session. Clients are responsible for and encouraged to verify with their insurance provider whether they will receive reimbursement for services. Insurance providers may offer reimbursement for a majority or some of the out of pocket session costs. If applicable, I will provide you with a coded bill "superbill" to submit to your provider for out-of-network reimbursement. The provider will then send the client their reimbursement directly. I understand this process can be confusing, so please don't hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns!
Some helpful questions to ask when speaking with your insurance provider include:
Do I have out-of-network coverage for psychotherapy services?
What percentage of each session is covered?
Is there a limit to how many sessions per year?
Do I have an out-of-network deductible?
How do I submit super-bills / claims?
How do I receive reimbursement (i.e. direct deposit, check, etc.)?
How long does it take to receive reimbursement?
I am a self-pay and out-of-network provider. Session fees vary depending on the type of service. I’m happy to talk with you about current rates and the availability of reduced fee options. If you’re interested in working together, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we can discuss what feels manageable for you.
Keeping a card on file is optional. If you prefer, you’ll receive an invoice after each session, with payment due before your next appointment (including cancellations or no-shows), unless alternate arrangements have been made. Should a financial concern arise before or during treatment, I encourage clients to share it with me so that we can work on a solution.
I ask that clients cancel or reschedule appointments at least 24 hours in advance by phone or email. If an appointment is not canceled with at least 24 hours’ notice, the card on file may be charged the full session fee, or payment for the missed session will be required before scheduling future appointments. Please know that I will always take emergencies and extenuating circumstances into consideration.
Generally, I will recommend beginning the therapeutic process with weekly sessions that are each 50 minutes in length. However, frequency may vary depending on the client's unique needs and goals, all determined collaboratively through our work together.
No. I can provide referrals at any time and/or collaborate with a client's current psychiatric provider during treatment.
